MY STORY
I believe software can be simpler and more affordable.
I am Alex. InvalDirect started with a simple frustration: organisations often pay a lot for old software, costly intermediaries and an extra mark-up on every covered shift.
That does not feel logical to me. Especially when an organisation already knows its own people and mainly needs a simple way to reach them quickly.
That is why I am building InvalDirect. Not as another complex system, but as affordable technology that handles the coordination. I cannot promise that someone will always be available. I can promise that we will be honest about what the product does and what it costs.

Which organisations is InvalDirect for?

Does InvalDirect supply replacement workers?
No. You use your own chosen pool. We do not supply, screen or certify people. We do help you set up your pool, rules and notification route in a simple way.
Who can be in our pool?
Your pool can include employees, replacement workers you know and freelancers you choose. You decide who to add. At the start, we help you with the required information and rules.
What if nobody is available?
The shift stays open and you see who was asked. You choose the next step.

Who decides who gets the shift?
You set the rules in advance. You can also choose to have a manager approve the final choice.
What happens after someone responds?
You set the rule. You or a manager confirms the choice under that rule. Then you record who gets the shift.
Who gets a message when the shift is covered?
The planner, replacement worker and colleagues involved get the right status. Nobody needs to call around, and colleagues know they do not need to take on extra work.
How does InvalDirect work on a laptop, phone and tablet?
Planning uses the web environment on a laptop. We are working towards a dedicated phone and tablet app with direct push messages. Until that app is ready, we agree a suitable notification route during setup.

Does InvalDirect need to connect to our scheduling system straight away?
Not to begin. First, we look at your current process, pool and rules. We keep the start small and clear. Then we decide together which connection you really need.
Is onboarding a lot of work?
No. You provide your pool, locations and rules. We help with setup, check everything with you and guide the first real request. Your team does not need to work it out alone.
What information do you need for the fit check?
Your organisation, work email, number of locations and whether you have your own pool. A phone number or question is optional. We discuss your process and rules in our reply.

No. You pay per location each month. You can then make unlimited requests.
Are there costs per employee or message?
